This policy explains what SmartFeed collects and how we use it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us, such as your email address.
• Device information: your feeder's ID, its connection status, and its feeding history.
• Wi-Fi details you enter during setup. Your network password is sent to the feeder to get it online. We do not store it.
• Basic app diagnostics, so we can keep the service reliable.

How we use it

• To operate your feeder, sync schedules, show feeding history, and answer your support questions.
• To fix problems and improve the product.

Sharing

• We run the service on Amazon Web Services.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Your data

• You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@thebelgian.co. We will confirm when it is done.
• Removing a feeder in the app removes it from your phone; email us if you also want its history cleared from our side.

Security

• Connections between the app, our service, and your feeder are encrypted.
• Each feeder has its own credentials, and commands are checked against the household that claimed it.

Children

• SmartFeed is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

• If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
