This policy explains what SmartFeed collects and how we use it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

No account details. The app has no sign-in and no account, so we do not collect your name, email address or password. If you write to our support address, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message.
Device information: your feeder's ID, its connection status, and its feeding history.
Wi-Fi details you enter during setup. Your network password is sent to the feeder to get it online. We do not store it.
Basic app diagnostics, so we can keep the service reliable.

To operate your feeder, sync schedules, show feeding history, and answer your support questions.
To fix problems and improve the product.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your phone's access to your feeders and deletes your data from our servers. Your feeder keeps working and can be set up again using the code on its label.
Feeding history belongs to the feeder and is shared with anyone else in your household who has set it up, so deleting your account does not remove it. It ages out automatically after 90 days.
Removing a single feeder in the app removes it from your phone only.

Connections between the app, our service, and your feeder are encrypted.
Each feeder has its own credentials, and commands are checked against the household that claimed it.
